Deborah Lippmann “Cleopatra in New York” Nail Lacquer Photos, Review, & Swatches

Hi everyone! “Cleopatra in New York” is a new limited edition nail lacquer by Deborah Lippmann. It is described as a gold studded black. It is absolutely gorgeous!! It has large and small hexagonal gold glitter in a black polish.

What I like most about this is the finish. The black looks almost like glass – Boy described it as looking like obsidian and I think that is the perfect description!

This was so, so, so easy to apply. I didn’t experience any issues with glitter curling and the consistency was so easy to control that I didn’t have to do any clean up. NONE!

Photos were taken in natural light using 2 coats. I am going on 5 days and there are hardly any signs of wear. I did use the Sephora by OPI base coat & the Butter London PD Quick hardware top coat.

Shortly after I painted my nails I was inspired to do a makeup look to go with them that I posted here with a step-by-step tutorial.

If you love this lacquer as much as I did, don’t wait to pick it up! It retails for $18 and I got it from last week and as of this afternoon it was no longer available there.

Thanks for reading & hope to see you again soon!
